tears

in silence i cried.
in darkness i saw the silver tears,
the emptiness of a heart once full.
once innocent.
now, scattered about the room,
pieces of a life let go
and moments locked in memory.

      It's all part of the balance, right? One cannot be always happy or sad. We need the contrast in order to keep perspective.
